Diakhaby: "We didn't concede any goals, but we wanted to get the victory"
Mouctar Diakhaby was once again key in helping Valencia CF keep a clean sheet, but it was not enough to claim the three points against Cádiz CF. After the match, the defender spoke to VCF MEDIA.
The result
"Today a very closed-off game. We didn't concede any goals, but we wanted to get the victory to get closer to the European spots."
Games remaining
"We lacked a bit of offensive intensity and many other things. In the end we have to improve, but we have 8 games left and we have to give it our all."
Defensive solidity
“This is good news for the team. It is much better to not concede goals, and scoring more would be great. We have to keep going and try to get more points. The goal is to get as many points as possible to get closer to Villarreal. We didn't do that today but we have to work hard for it."
Good defensive work
"Each player has their role and we try to give everything. When you are a defender, you focus on not conceding goals. You give everything and we work on everything at the Ciudad Deportiva. We have found it hard this year, but now we are fine."
